In case you are not sure what the devotional aspect of Christianity is, it is anything that glorifies God. It can be song or study, poem or prayer but whatever it is it must ultimately give glory to God. I came to God from an intellectual standpoint first and have found that this aspect, at least for me, has been the hardest area. Through my growing knowledge of the Bible and what it teaches about God, I am realizing more and more, that this is probably the most important aspect of our walk with God. I look at life in a simple way,

There’s something new everyday.

Your loving words are so mild,

I’ll take your hand, I am a child.

Life ‘s become such a mess,

It’s hard to find the happiness.

Each day I do the best I can,

Sometimes it’s hard, I’m just a man.

There’s something more than life I see,

Since Jesus’ words, they spoke to me.

His loving presence is so mild,
