Unity

Trinity of the Three

Now that you have seen them separate it is time to show, through the scripture, the unity of the three. The Father, Son and Holy Ghost. To begin I will show a few of the references to the three members of Trinity, where they are mentioned together.

Matthew 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

Acts 7:55 But he, being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up stedfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God,

Acts 10:38 How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.

Romans 15:16 That I should be the minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God, that the offering up of the Gentiles might be acceptable, being sanctified by the Holy Ghost.

2 Corinthians 13:14 The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen. <<The second epistle to the Corinthians was written from Philippi, a city of Macedonia, by Titus and Lucas. >>

The Trinity is stated clearly in 1 John 5v7. It says that the three are one. This is backed up by Matthew 28v19 which tells us to go forth and baptize in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost. Why would all 3 be mentioned together over and over again if they were not equal?

Showing Two as One

Who is the word?

John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

Since Jesus is the word does that mean that Jesus is the same as God? As we see here they are both together and separate.

John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

Here is something to think about. Jesus is the son of God. Yet also of the holy spirit...

Matthew 1:18 Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.

Matthew 1:20 But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.

As we saw earlier, the Holy Spirit and God are separate. Each an individual unto themselves. Yet in this scripture, as in a few others, it shows how the Holy Spirit was to get Mary pregnant. The child, however, will be the Son of God. How can this be unless they are one?

Luke 1:35 And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.
